My piece 'The Futility of the New York Mets: A Mixtape' is forthcoming in the Spring/Summer '10 issue of Stymie Magazine. Many thanks to Erik Smetana for working with me on the piece and for being an awesome dude in general.
Stymie Magazine is a sports related magazine, and everyone who knows me knows that there's fewer things I love more than poet-athletes. Athlete-poets are okay too. There will be some pretty awesome work in there from Sean Lovelace, Cynthia Hawkins, and Daniel Orozco (rad!) amongst others.
The piece was originally a lecture I wrote for the Gould's Lecture Series here in Tuscaloosa and so I am happy that it has found such a cool home.
Not to mention the cover! I know, right!?
