Cellar Door

cellar-door-by-ponyinarope

All,

My piece "We Reach An Abandoned Village, Close To The End" is featured in the new issue of Cellar Door.  Cellar Door is a magazine out of Knox College in Galesburg, Illinois, and I was solicited by the one, the only, Sam Martone, whom I taught in Creative Writing Club in Tuscaloosa back when he was in high school (I feel old) and who has put together a really cool magazine with some neat stuff.  To keep the connection going, my good friend B.J. Hollars was the one who founded Cellar Door as an undergraduate at Knox.

Also, you should check out the Knox Wiki, which is pretty spectacular.

Gaga Stigmata

056Monsters,

My piece "Bright-Eyed Pallas Gaga:  Goddess of Wisdom, Warfare, and Crafts" has been selected for publication in Gaga Stigmata: Critical Writings and Art About Lady Gaga.  The piece originally appeared in a different form on FlipCollective.  The journal is a fantastic idea and is the brainchild of the immensely talented and lovely Kate Durbin.  I'm honored to have the inaugural post.

Eh, eh, there's nothing else I can say:  I love that lavender blonde.

Flip Collective

Screen shot 2010-03-04 at 10.28.38 AMHello!

My first post over on FlipCollective, titled 'I Am Watching Your Life Unravel On Facebook' is up for your facebook posting/retweeting/friendster posting/livejournal commenting/ICQ forwarding pleasure.  Or you could just read it.

Was contacted out of the blue by these folks:  my friend Tara Goedjen who lived in Alabama with me for a while (I currently live in her former room, which she painted bright green) writes for them as well.

The stuff I'll be writing on there is a little bit different from the usual stuff that I work on, so it's kind of a nice reprieve from that.  Good times, y'all.
